The first XV have started their season in a very promising fashion. In the King Edward VI's pre-season festival they put in some excellent performances and won the Shield Competition by beating Glantaff School from Wales. (See full report on rugby page).

Colston's 1st XV 2012-13 |
|
This Saturday they start their season in earnest with one of their strongest fixtures, at home against Sedbergh School from the North of England. Last year Colston's achieved an historic win at Sedberh. Sedbergh, the Cumbrian school which is the alma mater of Will Carling, Will Greenwood and Gloucester back James Simpson-Daniel, had lost only two matches – Millfield away in 2007 and Colston’s away in 2008 – in the last five years and had enjoyed unbeaten runs in 2005, 2006 and 2011.
Sedbergh will surely be looking to avenge this defeat and so Colston's are keen to attract the maximum support for this key fixture.
The match kicks off at Colston's at 11.00 a.m.

The support turned up and so did Colston's 1st XV!
