Aldington raises £550 during Aldington Charity Week

Aldington House have raised £550 and counting during their charity week. The week kicked off with Year 8 running a competition to see who could kick a rugby ball the furthest. This was followed on Tuesday with Year 11 selling doughnuts which sold out in ten minutes!

On Wednesday Year 7 held various games at lunchtime, including a can throw and lucky dip. In the evening Aldington held the annual Aldington House Concert where Year 8 sold lemonade and Year 7 sold origami.

During the week Mr Eyles sold bacon rolls from his camper during the morning and Year 10 ran a competition throughout the week to guess how many sweets were contained in various jars.

On Friday Year 7 held a cake sale a break time which proved very popular.

The week was rounded off by the release 200 balloons which students bought to take part in a balloon race.
All proceeds from the charity week go towards Children’s Hospice South West and the sponsorship of Tedy through Plan UK.
