CBT Lecture – Internet Report
As part of their A2 studies, Colston’s students study the classification, explanations and treatments of Depression. Last week, Year 13 Psychology students received lectures on the psychological treatment of Depression, focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Clinical Hypnotherapist and counsellor, Mrs Sally Falconer Hall lectured on the process of CBT as well as the practical applications and use in case studies.
Mrs Falconer Hall works for the charitable organisation Off the Record, which offers up to six free CBT sessions in the treatment of various psychological disorders.
The sessions were very informative and particularly useful for the current year 13, ten of whom have applied for Psychology courses at University.
