CCF Dinner

The CCF celebrated another successful year at their annual dinner on Friday 4th December 2009. The Officer Commanding Lt Col Tim Scarll spoke of the achievements of the past year and in particular thanked Steve Proctor who as SO3G3 Cadets CCF has been in charge of all CCF matters in the CCF in the South West for the past 7 years and who is taking up a new post as Welfare Officer for the Army in the South West.

Lt Colonel Scarll also made mention of the sterling work carried out by his officers in the CCF and of the special feeling about the cadets at Colston's. He also presented many people with gifts for their contribution to the CCF or to mark special occasions at Colston's. He also welcomed back a number Old Colstonians who were serving in the armed forces today.

The Headmaster also reminded cadets about the history of Colston's and their responsibility in keeping the tradition of service and duty which was so aptly represented by the memorials in the Dining Hall to those who had paid the ultimate price in maintaining those traditions. He also thanked Lt Colonel Scarll for the splendid contribution that the CCF made to Colston's School.
