CCF visit to Thorpe Park
Major and Captain Scarll took 46 CCF cadets to Thorpe Park on Sunday as a finale to the CCF Summer Camp held in July. The visit should have been on the 20th July but a freak storm caused Thorpe Park to close and the cadets spent most of the day broken down on the motorway when the coach they were travelling in came to a sudden halt after hitting flood water on the M25.
The cadets spent the day challenging all the rides on offer and even managed to get the OC Major Scarll soaked in the process. A good day enjoyed by all and a great way to end the Summer Term training within the detachment.
