Fundraising Friday!
Colston's pupils had fun raising money for our two chosen charities, Afrikids and The Teenage Cancer Trust, on Friday 10th February.
Non-uniform day

By holding a non-uniform day we raised over £700 to buy uniforms for our adopted school in Zuarungu, Ghana. Pupils and staff were asked to give a minimum donation of £1 to wear casual clothes for the day, but many donated far more. A big thank you to the following students in particular, who all donated at least £6.50, the price of a complete school uniform for an underprivileged child in Ghana:
CJ Adams - 7CJW
Letisha Gollop - 7RMV
Marney McMahon - 7RMV
Sophie Coulthard - 8CRW
Steven Hanney - 8PRT
Harry Shepherd - 8PRT
Buster Lawrence – 9JAF
Ricky Hurkett – 9JAF
Georgette Keane – 9JAF
Tom Eddolls – 9JAF
Harry Goodfield - 9TA
Holly Moxham - 9TA
James Elford - 9TA (James donated enough to buy 2 uniforms!)
Sam Ng - 10DDW
Gareth Wide - 10DDW
Karl Hurkett - 10DDW
Tom Fisher - 11AAM
Charlie Sweet - 11PTT
Many thanks to tutors for their help.
Valentine's Day Roses

Love was definitely in the air as Valentine's Day came early to Colston's! Two year ten pupils, Harriet Haworth and Gabby Stell, organised the sale of red roses which were hand delivered with a personal message on Friday afternoon. They were assisted by Mrs Brighton, Ms Wyatt, Mrs Vaughan and a small army of helpers to prepare the roses for delivery. The roses sold for £1.50 and raised £83.80 for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
