Colston’s School sings songs from ‘Grease’ for Children in Need

On Tuesday 15th November, Miss Kendall and 16 singers from Colston’s School Choir went to Cineworld Cinema in Hengrove to sing at a Children in Need event hosted by BBC Radio Bristol. On that evening, 25 Cineworld cinemas across England and Wales hosted a special gala screening of the ultimate rock ’n’ roll musical film, to raise money for Children in Need.

All the pupils dressed up in 50’s clothes and sang songs from the legendary hit musical, including: ‘You’re the One That I Want’, ‘Look at me I’m Sandra Dee’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘We Go together’, and ‘Hopelessly Devoted to You’.

The Colston’s Choir not only sang but added choreography to their songs and danced the night away, teaching their moves to a very famous, Pudsey Bear! Colston’s Choir was later heard on a BBC broadcast the following morning; the presenters commenting on just how good the standard of singing was by the choir.

The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the pupils and Miss Kendall would like a huge thank you to go to Mr Aspden for driving the ‘Grease Mobile’ there and back.
