Danielle pipped 16 other contestants in the grand final singing the two songs that she had performed in the
earlier round of the contest, "As Long As He Needs Me" from Oliver Twist and "Truly Scrumptious" from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Danielle, who is only 11, won a magnificent trophy and a cheque for £150 in this talent contest for under 14s.
"I'm torn between spending the money on clothes or saving it all to buy a laptop" said a triumphant Danielle.
Danielle who was supported at the final by her parents and her brother Josh, a pupil in year 11 at Colston's, said she had especially appreciated the encouragement of her close school friends Freja and Sophie.
And what about the future?
"I'm really looking forward to taking part in Colston's own talent contest "Colston's Got Talent" later in the year and I hope to get an audition for "Britain's Got Talent".
"I would like to carve a career in the music industry and winning this contest is a great boost. My favourite singers are Adele and Pixie Lott".
We look forward to following Danielle's progress, as will the Lower School, as Danielle has come right through to year 7 from Colston's Nursery.
