This week Drama Club students from Years 7 and 8 are performing two productions. The first, Bedtime Stories, consists of six favourite bedtime tales. The stories were first performed in a special matinée performance on Thursday 1st July for the Nursery and Reception children. They thoroughly enjoyed the performances, and even got up to join in the final “It’s a George Thing!” dance!
The second performance was of The Magic Paintbrush, an ancient Chinese tale about a girl called Shen who is given a magic paintbrush. Any pictures painted with the brush will become real, as long as the person requesting the item genuinely needs it. The paintbrush is stolen by the envious Emperor, and Shen has to do some quick thinking in order to escape!
