On Friday 17th September the whole of year seven visited the Forest of Dean and Tintern Abbey for a creative writing day out.
Pupils began the morning in an energetic fashion, walking the beautiful sculpture trail in perfect weather. There were seventeen sculptures scattered over four miles; most of the year group managed to see at least seven with a definite favourite being “Melissa’s swing”.
After a long lunch at the play park, pupils travelled on to Tintern Abbey to take in the breath-taking beauty of the ruins.
It was a fun day out for all and we look forward to judging the winners of the poetry competition: ten pound gift vouchers will be up for grabs for the best poem and also the best illustrated poem!
