There were eighteen boys' and girls' sports fixtures on Saturday with hockey matches against Monkton Combe School and rugby matches against Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School and Sedbergh in the north west of England.
One result deserves special mention: the 1st XV's victory at Sedbergh.
Sedbergh, the Cumbrian school which is the alma mater of Will Carling, Will Greenwood and Gloucester back James Simpson-Daniel, have lost only two matches – Millfield away in 2007 and Colston’s away in 2008 – in the last five years. They have enjoyed unbeaten runs in 2005, 2006 and 2011.
Well done to the 1st XV and their new coach, Mr Darren Wall, on this immense result - the first victory for Colston's at Sedbergh.
