Traditionnally the main sports in the Spring Term are hockey for the boys and netball for the girls. There are still some rugby fixtures for those boys not involved in hockey early in the term. Later in the term boys and girls will start preparing to defend their national titles as rugby 7s champions.

On Saturday the inclement weather caused rugby fixtures to be cancelled but the boys' 1st XI hockey made a sound start to their season on the astroturf with a 3-3 draw against Wells Cathedral, whereas the other teams fared less well.

	1st XI hockey captain Paul Roberts, who starred as fly half and scrum half in the 1st XV rugby last term, moves the ball out of defence against Wells Cathedral in the first match of the season.
