Year 6 Trip to France
The Year 6 pupils made the most of their days out of school when we went to Paris. The walk around Versailles was rather wet and muddy but the sun came out when we were walking around Marie Antoinette’s hamlet and our wet clothes soon dried.
The trip to the second stage of the Eiffel Tower enabled us to take panoramic photographs of the city before many of us chose to scurry down the thousand steps rather than take the lift.
The day spent in Parc Asterix was one of the best we have known. Many of the Year 6s bought countless plastic souvenirs: armour, bludgeons and swords, whilst one or two chose Asterix books, written in French of course!
The rides were fun and the bravest amongst us went on the ‘seven looper’ as well as the very wet water rides.
The trip was memorable and the Year 6s thought it a great experience.
The staff on the trip enjoyed the children’s company, if not their choice of DVDs to which they sometimes sang along!
