The children in Y4F were lucky enough to be chosen as the first group to take part in a ‘Bikeability’ course in the Lower School and last Thursday they all successfully completed Level 1.
The training was organised by Mr Kerry and delivered by an instructor from Bristol City Council. The instructor was hugely impressed by the behaviour of the children and very much enjoyed taking what she described as ‘a wonderful session’. The children had great fun, whilst at the same time learning a great deal about the difference between safe, controlled cycling and simply jumping on a bike and going as fast as possible!
From Mr Kerry’s point of view, he summed it up by saying that the children were the best he’s had the pleasure to ‘work’ with since first being involved with cycling proficiency way back in the late ‘80s. Now there’s praise indeed!
Very well done to everyone involved.
