On Tuesday 1st November 2011 Key Stage 1 enjoyed a trip to Blaise Castle. It was a lovely warm day and the sun was shining for the whole visit.
As well as a walk in the sunshine, looking for signs of autumn, we took part in two workshops. One gave us a chance to handle Victorian objects and decide which room in a Victorian house they may have been from.
We particularly enjoyed dressing up for the workshop about Victorian toys, during which we could play with a variety of toys that would have been used by children in Victorian times. There wasn’t a computer game in sight but we all had a great time!
