Lots of families and friends turned up at Colston's School yesterday (May 5th) to enjoy the Bank Holiday fun day. The star attraction for the fun day was the Moo Poo competition, but Mrs Moo Poo failed to oblige and so the prizes were decided by a computer generated program. (The Moo Poo prize winners were as follows:
Ist prize of £500: Mr Rendall; consolation prizes of £50: Ian Beard, Liam Toner, Mr Naylor, Mr Ewins, Nick (groundsman), Mrs M Henderson, Jackie Jeffery)
As well as the bouncy castle, organised by the headmaster, Peter Fraser, and his wife Sarah, there were various stalls and games, the open air swimming pool run by Mr and Mrs Aspden, a fully licensed bar, a hog roast, a touch rugby mixed 7s competition and a very entertaining "Grand National".
In all £6,500 was raised on this day to support the Senior Rugy Tour to South Africa in July.
Congratulations to all the staff and pupils who organised events and in particular to Mr Mason and Major Scarll who have organised this and other events to raise a considerable amount towards the tour costs.
Everyone had a grand day.
