This week there are a series of Parents' Evenings at Colston's. For parents with boys and girls in Year 10 and the Lower Sixth there are information evenings at which the headmaster and senior staff are talking about academic matters.

Each of these information sessions is followed by a social event where parents are able to meet the heads of house, the tutors, the house officials and school prefects as well as being able to socialize with each other.

The Year 10 parents' information evening provides an opportunity for parents to find out at first hand about the demands placed on the pupils as they start their GCSEs and some of the key points in their academic life over the next two years. Dr Keith Dawson, the Key Stage Co-ordinator, is focusing on working habits, coursework, examinations and assessments.
