All good students of modern foreign languages have always been regularly encouraged to have a pen friend with whom they could correspond.

83 years ago in 1926 a boy at Colston's received his first letter from his pen friend from France. 83 years later the letter came back to Colston's. Mr John Petts of Street kindly sent the letter to Head of Modern Languages, Mrs Denise Currie, not knowing how he had come by it.
