Upper sixth form philosophy students inspired by Ethics conference

The upper sixth philosophy set headed up to Cheltenham Ladies' College on
Wednesday 25th January 2012 for an Ethics conference.  The students listened to an interesting lecture on Sexual Ethics delivered by Michael Wilcockson, a published author of Philosophical texts.

This lecture was followed by another stimulating offering from the life peer and Philosophical/Political theorist Baroness Warnock..

The Baroness raised some challenging and thought-provoking arguments and discussions concerning the issue of Euthanasia.

Following lunch both speakers took to the stage to take questions from the interested A-Level audience and some really interesting discussion took place.  It was a great trip to listen to some great thinkers and all the pupils enjoyed the experience of seeing philosophy ‘in-the-flesh’.
