The end of a long programme of works

Just when the pupils and staff are returning from their summer holidays one member of the Colston's community is starting a longer break. Rick Ellis, who has worked as a member of the maintenance staff since 2003 (and for 2 years before that as a contractor) began his retirement on Friday 4th September.

Facilities Manager, Mr Alan Meakin, took time out on from a busy programme of completing the summer works programme (more of this to follow later) to thank Rick for his hard work and reliability over the last 8 years.

"Not only has Rick been an excellent worker he has been staunch member of the Colston's community and a really good bloke to work with"

"In the last few months we have seen the biggest building programme in Colston's history and this has put a huge work load on to our own maintenance staff: Rick has been brilliant right up to the last day."
