OLD COLSTONIANS

Tim enjoys a generous Irish welcome

Tim Coughlan, who completed his A levels this summer, has been awarded an entrance scholarship of £300 by Trinity College Dublin. He is the first Colstonian for some years to attend this prestigious university, the alma mater of distinguished writers such as Jonathan Swift, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, as well as three presidents of Ireland.

Tim, who spent much of the rugby season at Colston’s recovering from a long-term injury, underwent knee reconstruction surgery in the summer and is now resuming full-time training.

We were very pleased to see Tim supporting Colston’s at the Blackrock College festival in Dublin at half term.

We congratulate him on his award and wish him well on his PPE course- and on the rugby field.
