Top chemistry student in the country
William Mardle, who gained 4 As in this year's A-level examinations, has learned that, along with 10 other candidates, he gained the highest mark in the country in the 2009 GCE A-level chemistry examinations.
William is off to Cambridge University in October and now, through The Royal Society of Chemistry, he has the chance to qualify for a trip to Boston, USA in December 2009.
The Royal Society of Chemistry is orgainizing a competition with prizes for six people to visit the Shire Human Genetic Therapies (HGT) Site and tour round the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Campus, as well as a tour round the city of Boston.
We wish William well with his studies at Cambridge and with this competition if he chooses to enter.
